Called and said there was an online request for a car removal.
I said that it was falsified request and asked for the name of business “Sydney Car Removals”, his name “Josh” then when I received that information I repetitively asked several times for his ID number so I can report it to the police. If it was legit when callers request ID numbers they must tell you and because he flat out said no it even more solidified that he was a scammer.
He kept on avoiding it saying we can just remove your number so you don’t get calls however said to him you are not addressing the falsified request that you received online and would like to report it. He responded with there is no need to report it to the police and started back peddling and became nervous and eventually hung up the phone.
Due to his behaviour I believe this is a scam to get peoples personal information.
Do not engage with these people and do not mention any personal information to them.

This is the 3rd call we have received at our business this afternoon that hangs up in our ear when answered.

Try to call back and the number rings out.

Very frustrating for a receptionist.

Left 30 seconds of silence on my voicemail. Presumably spam/scam robocaller.

I did not speak when I answered the call and the caller hung up immediately without speaking.

Called and said received my request for my car to be picked up for the scrap dealer. I told him that's BS coz I don't have a car, never ever had a car. I asked where did you get my number and he said you registered on our website for your car to be picked up. I said that's BS. He replied oh must be a wrong number and hung up. Beware people! It's a way to get your details.

I received phone call from this number few times in the past few years. They are scam calls try to steal your personal information from you.
I had another miscall today and call back. They said they are "Sydney Car Removals" and ask me do I have any car to be removed.

Caller: Called Saturday morning

This number called, did not answer but looked up it’s a scam. Is telephone company doing anything about these scam calls ? ! It’s getting more frequent as years go on.
