This is a 'spoofed' number. If your phone blocks/disconnects a scammer's private number phone call...you may get a message from this 'spoofed' Caller ID (It looks like the spammer gets pissed off if their private number isn't answered repeatedly). The message is a copycat of the 'IRS Scam' that's rife in America at the moment. The caller 'spoofs' their caller ID to mimic a number from the IRS (or the Australian Tax Office). The message is simple...you owe the tax office money...the police are going to be called to your house and you're going to be arrested...blah, blah blah. The message is actually recorded using a Text-to-speech USA Voice named 'Mike', which was developed by AT&T. The ID of the caller is 'spoofed' - in this case the number doesn't exist. The point is...if you get a phone call from the 'Australian Tax Office' out of the blue - I wouldn't pay any attention. Just tell them not to bother calling and just "write to you instead"...DON'T give the scammer your postal address...Just hang up.
