I called back the number (02) 6698 4051 and reached vm that said I reached Selectwise

Wanted to talk to me about my energy plan and when I said I had already spoken to my provider he continued to try and ask questions.

Yet another call where I do not recognise the number so do not pick up. They left no message and phone came up as potential fraud, so checked here. Will now block number.

Got a call from this number and didn’t answer but instead googled it and found this site. Tried calling back but they said that connection to this area was temporarily unavailable. Blocked

Answered the call but no one on the other end speaks and then hangs up

Caller: Jason from 1st Energy.....maybe.

They claim to be 1st energy. Smooth sales person claiming to be calling from Durban RSA. They did have some details, my name and address. The electricity account no they quoted was wrong. When I refused to give my Medicare no. or Driver's license no., he told me we could go no further without me providing identification. I requested an email from him, out lining the conversation details. He hung up.......this is a scam. Give them no info at all or insult them and hang up.

Didn't answer as I didn't know the number, however it showed up that the call was made from Ballina NSW

Trying to sell utility plan ... GO AWAY.

got a couple of calls a few days apart from (02) 6698 4051. rang the number back and got a message saying number has been disconnected.

Caller: I dont know

I answered, noone speaking for about 10 secs then they hung up. no msg.

Block this number as its a utility reseller.

I answered the call from (02) 6698 4051 and after about 10 seconds of no reply to my Hello, the line hung up. Tried to call back the number but received the following recording: -
"Connection to the area you are calling is unavailable, we are working to restore service and apologise for any inconvenience, please try again later. This is a free call."
Suspect scammers I expect!

Received this number a few times over the last couple of days. Havent answered and after the review here i have also now blocked this number

Second time in a week this number has called. Bloody hide cold calling during this current coronavirus event. Either a travel or electricity provider but no matter who or what they will be scammers.
