Caller: Someone posing as a Telstra employee

I received a call claiming to be from Telstra. They stated they had been receiving error messages from my router saying that the service was dropping out and stating they need to repair the issue immediately. Knowing full well we are with IiNet, I questioned how he could confirm my details or router. He continued to press me to go to my router and tell him how many flashing lights. This was his continuous answer when I asked him to verify my customer details before he hung up suddenly. The call was from a very noisy call centre and I could tell it was a random machine dial because my call wasn’t connected to him until I picked up on my end. Scam!!

Caller: Someone saying they were Telstra technical support

Received a call from someone saying they were Telstra technical support. I asked what the problem was, they said there is a problem with my internet. I replied that’s funny as I don’t have the internet, to which he immediately ended the call.
The number has being calling over the last few days, one call went unanswered on my end, the other call disconnected after I had answered but didn’t immediately say anything.
I wish these people would stop with these stupid calls.
