Sounds official, like a Government automated call but is really a well organised scammer. Don't be fooled. The only reason I clued up to it was that i knew I don't have any current business with Centrelink. Bad scam

Caller: David Abraham allegedly with Centre Link Canberra Claimed I had not respond to their repeated messages about my backpayment and that my files have now been transferred to Canberra amd was told to phone the above number and mention an Application No. I looked on my MyGov account and could not see any messages from Centrelink, I then phoned Centrelink and they had no back payment for me and could not see anything showing that they had been trying to message me. I phoned the number requested (02) 6529 0157 and they answered as Human Services......first question they asked was my name, in reply I said if i give you my application number can you tell me my name, with that they promptly hung up on me.......definitely SCAM ......DO NOT RESPOND

Caller: Centrelink Same story everyone else has complained about - A badly recorded message with an Aussie lady informing me that I supposedly haven't filled in the forms they keep sending me (never received any) and some rubbish about a possible increase to my benefits (I don't receive any) and that my application (no.080456) has now been transferred to Centrelink's head office in Canberra (02) 6529 0157).

Recorded message, Australian female voice saying that the nbn was in my area and my phone and internet connection would be disconnected with 24 hours and I should press 1 and speak to technician. This scammer has been repeatedly calling my number numerous times a day for more than a week.

I've had a couple of calls. Same as all the above. Quoted "my Centrelink No", 080456. I didn't know I had a number. Usual stuff about ignoring their letters and pension upgrade, but I'm not a pensioner.

an official aussie lady automatic voice calls me saying that she is from centrelink asking me to call back (02) 6529 0157 because I fail to answer many letter questions from centrelink and it makes my pension payment getting less than it should be. It is totally a liar as I am not eligible to enjoy any benefit from pension, centrelink. These people arranging such trap should be dealt by police so that innocent citizen will be protected.

Caller: Centrelink Representative (Call was to my 83 yr old mother in law) The female caller (australian accent) stated that centrelink owed my mother in law $2225.45. She then said that she would transfer the call through to Human Services where the call was answered by an Indian speaking male who answered with "Centrelink Human Services". He asked for her Pension Card number. He made an appointment for her to attend centrelink at 3pm the following day. My mother in law asked if this was a scam. Silence for a moment and then they hung up.

Caller: Some Indian SCAMMER Left a message saying was from Centrelink on my parent's message bank and asked to be called back on 02 6529 015. When called back they answered straight away which is odd for centrelink, because they always put you on hold for like an hour. Then answers this indian dude with 'Hello Centrelink...étc... He has some basic info on you like your name, who lives with you, where you live etc,,,then he starts asking for detailed info. SCAMMER....dont be fooled.
