Left a message on voicemail after reading I assume it was mandarin. No idea as I couldn’t understand. Deleted voicemail and will be blocking. I do not answer numbers I do not know. That’s what message bank is for. ;-)

Is this a scam? Some rude, brainless idiot. When i asked for more info, he hang up.

Just got the call. I pressed 1, and then was transferred to some chinese lady on the other line. I asked if she spoke english... but she didn't.

Called our office 8 times today!

So, is there any way to get the owner of this phone number investigated? I mean, so many people are being harassed by this robocaller, the practice is obviously illegal. We literally have hundreds of "witnesses" not to mention 10 times that amount who haven't bothered to add a comment here.

Recorded female speaking Mandarin asking how I was and if I can speak English...lucky for me I understand Mandarin, unlucky for her I am not fooled even when they called back on another number (02) 6269 2455

the message is in Chinese, saying it's the last notification to pick up an important document from Chinese Embassy in Australia, if you like to speak to a customer rep, please press 9. so I hang up.

It is a robocall (in Mandarin) with a recorded message telling you 'to pick up a document from the Chinese Embassy.To speak to a customer representative, press 9'.

In short, if you see this number, do not answer and block immediately!

Not sure your theory's entirely correct. I reckon it's more a case of somebody/somebodies flogging our mobile phone numbers to our Chinese mates. My mobile phone's that old I reckon Noah could have used it to get "Hire an Ark" to give him a hand during the big flood ie it hasn't got anything embedded because such things weren't invented back then. Q E D R S O!!

I answered and got a Chinese/Asian voice/recording. I hung up.

This number called our office and an automated message started talking in Chinese. We hung up. It is clearly a hoax call
