Chinese embassy with chinese messages maybe asking to join CCP.

Received this spam call today. Still active so reporting this!

Pre recorded message in Chinese with background music.

Caller: (02) 6228 3971

This number showed up as coming from Canberra, Australia. I answered, a lady's voice in Chinese started speaking with some background music playing. It appeared to be a recording. I hung up. Reading the comments here and finding out about the scam from the so called Chinese embassy. This number is the latest they are calling from. Just do not answer.

Supposedly it’s the Chinese embassy- they’re apparently looking to cold call Chinese people living in Australia presumably to tell them they’ll be kicked out unless they send cash somewhere... or something to that effect

This number said it calling from Chinese embassy & started with a voice message then connect you to someone but it’s fake ,its a cheating landline number . Don’t give any personal detail to them

Linked the number to the Chinese embassy. Given their espionage campaign in Australia at the moment we should be careful.

This is the second call that i have had with in a week. My husband has a brand new phone number and he is also receiving these calls, not always the same number. Chinese speaking sounds like a recorded message, do not understand a word of it. I would put this down as a scam also.
