Caller: (02) 6216 1120 I received a call from this number and when I tried to return the call, was advised the number was disconnected. The number called me back again yesterday - it was an automated message advising that I breached some tax laws and would be arrested, with it being my final warning; I was then advised to press '1' to speak to the operator at which time I hung up. Call BLOCKED! I also received the same call twice this morning from (02) 6216 1111, also BLOCKED!

Same here. The call showed up as someone calling from Canberra. Called back and Telstra said number was not connected. Another scam call.

This number called and was an automated message regarding alleged tax fraud advising that I need to speak to a tax representative ASAP to avoid financial penalty or arrest. Recorded has an English accent.
I have been receiving other calls from relating to Tax Research which I have just been hanging up on or ignoring so assume it relates to this.
I am convinced it is a scam as pretty sure ATO (which wasn't mentioned) would contact through myGov if it was legit.
