Just received a call today. Mandarin speaker knows my name, but cannot speak English. This number is searched as the Department of home affairs in Canberra, but why cannot speak English? Very suspicious!

Mandarin speaking man told me I am restricted from Australia to go out and come in because my passport is in another woman’s hand who was caught in Guangzhou airport and has my passport with her. What a nonsense!

Suspect this is a scam call to trap you into an international crime

They say they are form au government but need you provide your Mandarin navme for then check visa status. And say I apply a China mobile send the wrong covid info to China peoples. Ridiculousness fraud.
