yeah i got done a similar way. initial link from an instagram advert to win a Samsung Galaxy S9 +. pure bs. got a call the following week that i was shortlisted for the draw but would love to help me save money on my electricity bill???? yeah get lost. whaaat he says... so you don't want to save. Nup!!!! see ya! click!........ beeeep beeep

They called to tell me I had recently completed a survey and that I could go into the draw to win a mobile phone and can be a phone tester.

I am an international PhD student just started last week in Sydney Australia. I dont know how they get my number. Once I got the call I thought my relatives were called me. Nope a lady told me do you want to participate a cmpetition and I said Yes! Later she asking bunch of questions and so irritating. Finally I asked why you calling me and she just said it is for survey purpose! Finally I realized I just waste my valuable research time!

I have my number silent. I never answer calls from anyone not in my address book. If it’s important they can leave a message, they never do. Dead giveaway, and gives me the chance to use reverse lookup to check. How can they call people on the DO NOT CALL REGISTER without being penalised, I wonder? Our mobiles are also on the do not cal,register, and yet they still call. Easier to block them on a mobile, but still annoying.

I entered my mobile number on fb for a P & O cruise comp, what a mistake this was. It’s a scam for a marketing company. I have been inundated with phone calls from an electricity company Careflight Australia and bombed with emails and texts from about 15 other sh*tful companies including Woolworths, not very happy...

Called claiming I entered a competition, I said you obviously didn’t check the “do not call register”, so I said don’t call me again. He agreed and hung up, we see if it got through.

I fell for the same kind of scam except it looked like a genuine Myer competition - note to anyone who doesn't already know: Do NOT click on the 'ad' results that show up on Google search. I thought it was a genuine Myer website but it was just a cover for this competition scam where they gather your personal information then distribute to every freakin salesman and his dog.

Blocking all the numbers above, is not working. They have called about 10 times over the course of 3 days. Each time I block a number they ring from another number. Most definately SPAM. PLEASE CLOSE THEM DOWN~!!!!!!!!
