This number keeps calling, only rings a few times, but I suspect it is a scam, I am in WA and no one calls me from 02 which is Sydney I think.

Claiming that you've comitted tax fraud and will send you to years in prison if you don't pay, I hung up then had a follow up call, claiming they were the AFP....such liars.

As above. Left an automated message, American accent. Threat of magistrates court for tax fraud. Professional sounding and intimidating. I immediately called the ATO scammers/identity fraud reporting number: 1800 008 540 (you’ll find this number on their website). Highly recommend reporting if you get the same message - I didn’t have to provide any personal details. The more reports they get, the faster something will be done.

Automated message left stating apparent tax fraud. Leaves a message that you need to contact them prior to being summoned to magistrate court for tax fraud....Callled on my work number so instantly knew it is a fraud call.
