Scam pretending being the ATO. They ask us to call back on this number otherwise they will send the police to your doorstep or office of employment.

Definitely a scammer... left me a voicemail by some type of computer generated voice saying ".... we want you to call back before you will face some police officer at your doorstep ......" piss off scammer ....

This call is scary. It is an automated male voice who simply tries to convince you that you have a debt to the ATO. The upshot is that you can stop AFP or local
Police turning up at your door if you all them back and discuss terms.
I called my accountant who told me this is a scam and some people are getting caught paying $10,000.

I have been getting that exact message from a private number and also from (02) 7100 1136! 3 times so far over the last couple of days :(

im getting voice calls too asking me to call back and give them my date of birth
before they can tell me any more info !! someone needs to catch these people
and quick.

Got call today from this number to my mobile, with automated voice saying "police could be at your doorstep" and asking me to call back on this same number.

This is a scammer. Please DON'T call back on the number. They will use your details to get funds off you.
The ATO don't do not recorded messages like this at all.

Yes - I just had one of these calls too. I called the ATO and reported it. They said if they get enough people reporting these calls it is helpful. I think they have also been targeting the elderly - my parents included.
