My mobile phone didn't ring and the call went straight to my message bank. They referred to me by my surname and a foreign accented voice claimed to be from the Crime & Investigation unit of the ATO. The person said his name was Oliver Johnson and told me to call back as the issue was 'crime sensitive'. It concerns how easy it is for these creeps to get hold of your name and mobile number.

Automated message it's the Tax Office & I must return call the number once hung up!!

Received call claiming to be centre link and to call this number between 10 and 6 to claim back pensions payment

Had a call at 11:00pm last night claiming to be from the Department of Human Resources relating to my pension. The automated caller voice gave me an Application No. and the phone no. 61528686 to call. They said I had money owing to me and to call between 10:00am and 6:00pm Canberra (????) time. Guess they were after my bank details.

Just got a recorded message at 10:30pm at night with female voice saying from Centrelink telling me to call back (02) 6152 8686 to get a back-pay of increase in my pension (which I am not on and am not claiming any payments from Centrelink). SCAM!

The phone call went to messages. A foreign man spoke and said he was from ATO Australian Taxation Agency. He said they had raised a criminal case against our name for tax evasion. We must ring back immediately or face legal consequences.
Over the years I have dealt with the ATO and they never do this, if they have a querie, a letter stating the fact will be sent to you.
Don't fall for this scam.

I got 2 messages from them claiming to be the ATO , they wanted to pick up a payment tomorrow in Autralian Bonds . I called the ATO they didn't call me with an automated call service .
