SCAM - claiming to be from the ATO claiming a complaint has been made against me and that my house is under surveillance.

THIS IS A BAD SCAM. They gave me a Name David Brown and then his badge number and he gave me a case number. All with an Indian accent. I started asking questions without giving any info out. and they hung up. Clearly they got cold feet.

Ask them to give you your Tax File Number. If they cant or wont then tell them to get Knotted.

House in under survillance and there are charges against my name

Received a message today 28/3/17 saying an Affidavit had been lodged against my name and it was very important to ring back as legal proceedings would be commenced against me. I telephoned (02) 6152 8679 - engaged the whole time. Checked this website - same phone number. Obviously a scam.

This ATO Scam continues to happen. Today 28 May 2017 I've got a call from (02) 6152 8679

Got called today from (02) 6152 8679
"A legal action has been lodged against you and your house in under surveillance. Do not ignore this message"

I called back, they answered
(unintelligable)... Crimes investigation Dept
and asked my name
but hung up when I asked who I was speaking to.

Just had a call from (02) 6152 8679 saying the same thing about Tax Fraud. When i called back to ask who they were they said Taxation, before giving them any of my details I asked for more information on who they are. They hung up. I called them again - same response. Is there not somewhere we can report this to put a stop to it? I worry there are people out there who would not be aware of the scam.

received a call from (02) 6152 8679, Pre-recorded computer message British Indian Accent advising me that I am going to be arrested for ATO, as a vehicle registered in my name is involved in a traffic criminal infringement, to call them back on a number.

Just received a call saying there's an affidavit against my name and im a primary suspect on that case and that my house is under surveillance! SCAM please don't call back or respond!

Got a call from an indian-sounding fella half an hour ago with the same warning that I alledgedly owe money to the ATO. I played around for 15 mins until he realised I was just trolling him.

Scammers, dont listen or return the call.

yup called me twice in the last week - said i was names in a case of fraud and my house was under surveillance - if only we had some kind of police force that could stop this

Said there was an affidavit filed in my name by the ato. I called him a scam and he said I was a criminal and hung up.

Recieved today 27/03/2017 saying there's a Law Suit being filed against me for Tax Fraud & Tax Evasion - call this no. (02) 6152 8679 immediately.

I got a call from (02) 6152 8679 with a recorded message saying there is serious case against me and that my home is under surveillance. Its terrible - these people need to be prosecuted.

just received a call from (02) 6152 8679/">(02) 6152 8679, let it go to message bank and received an auto-compiled message to advise the below...

Hi I am calling you from the Legal department of the Australian Taxation Office. The reason of this call is to make you aware that you have received an affidavit against your name. where you are being listed as a pimary suspect for a case being filed against your name and your house is under surveillance so do not disregard this message and call me back as soon as possible on (02) 6152 8679 I repeat that is (02) 6152 8679.
Remember delay in calling us back may end in legal prosecution for you. Thankyou.

Got the mark Brown message today.the number was (02) 8317 3327.
This is the second day in a row that they have called.

I got a similar call today 29 Oct 2015 wanting me to ring 02 8317 1 with the rest of the number cut off
