I have received two calls from someone on this number in the past six weeks claiming they were an officer for om the ATO. Very abusive phone call which ended when I said I was reporting him to the Police

I had the same call this morning - also in Roseville

Hi there all, I also had a call from a Jason OÇonnor saying he was from the ATO saying the same as above....he was going to lodge a claim against us and if we did not want the police to arrest us we should call him back immediately to halt proceedings.....Jason OÇonnor sounded more like Juan Estevez....

Friend of mine had the same call. We need to report this weirdo!!

Basically a mixture of what the people above experienced!

We got a meassage from a Jason O'Connor under this number (02) 6152 8641 saying there was a law suit for tax evasion and it would be lodged at the "Court House" in our 'territory'. Also that a Police officer would arrest us, or something like . The guy had a very heavy Indian accent and kept saying he was from the ATO but it sounded as if he said ITO.

I had the same message today. Doesn't even say a name of who the warrant is for. Sounded like a computer generated message. Definitely a scam

Same here - and he doesn't sound like a Jason!! or even a Mike Hargraves - thanks for the heads up on this one. I will ring the local cops to see if they can do anything - probably not unfortunately.

Weird thin is I don't really know what the caller expects to get form the message.

Any thoughts on that?

I received the same message on 6/8 from (02) 6152 8641, called and all info given to me was incorrect and then they hung up.

This bloke is a nutter. I fear he may call someone far more vulnerable and cause personal grief or worse take someone for a financial ride

I rec'd a call today from Jason - the tax evasion accuser. I checked on here before I called back. My tax affairs are in order so was surprised to hear from anyone at ATO. Appears he isn't with the ATO and is simply annoying and worrying people for fun. Not sure what the caper is - but mark this down as a SCAM call and ignore.

Just got exactly same message word for word

I received a call from these idiots leaving a msg on my phone accusing me of tax evasion.. He told me he was Peter Williams Officer no 682395 and his employee id was 0780. He changed the amount I was meant to be evading going back 15 years, suggesting he was recording me for evidence. I let him ramble on He knew my name and address which is a worry. He then made the mistake of asking me if I had any questions. When I said no, he gave up and said the Police would come to arrest me soon. Ha Ha. I could tell by the recorded msg that no way would the ATO do as he was making out to be.

Received the same phone call left a voice message advising that the police would be in contact and warrant out for my arrest in relation to tax evasion. Bloody scammers.

I got that message today.

Message left on home phone from "Jason O'Connor" from ATO. He said a warrent was out for my arrest for tax evasion. Phoned the him back from another phone - definatly NOT the ATO !!
