Fake Australian Tax Office scam. Indian accent.

I started having loads of calls like this including one from this number after I signed up to Binge streaming service

Scam/Fraud, claiming to be a 'Matthew Clark' posing as a representative of the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). Please don't disclose your personal information.

Caller: "Website Design"

Strong Indian accent and call centre background noise.

I received a call from this number with a robotic voice instructing me to call a certain number. I did not have time to take down the number. I'm very sure this is a scam.

Indian scammers

Caller: unknown

They just hung up after I answered with HELLO as I never answer with my name if I do not know the calling number...

Also had the same issue when refinancing with ANZ, suddenly all the scammers started to call, I suspect their outsourced processing is passing details to third parties and scamming ANZ even by profiting from selling the details to scammers. As then they have all of the loan app details, then they know if you have an offset account and how much was put in there to start with so they know if you are a prime target or not as they have that and all your income figures.

Received a call saying they were from an energy company

Called and then hung up once I answered.

They never left a message. I'm sure it's someone trying scam me!!

They keep calling until you block and then they go onto scamming someone else
