Just got the message on answer machine that someone called Jason claiming to be from ATO says we are going to be charged with fraud and the police are coming with a arrest warrant. Supposed to ring back urgently. Not likely that I would ring them - scam lowlife with nothing better to do than to rip off the Aussies.

Some lowlife calls and informs you that he is from the ATO and a warrant for your arrest has been issued and asks you to call back on this number. Just another criminal scam to try to get you to send money to "resolve the matter". The ATO are aware of this and advise you to hang up.Another number commonly used is (02) 6100 3027. Don't fall for it!

I received this exact same call. Definite scam. He definitely doesn't sound like a Jason.

Had the same message from Jadon O Connor, he was from ATO and wanted to get us for tax evasion and cops were coming, knew we owed no tax but scary message to hear. Called back and got some guy when I wouldn't give details and asked for his manager he got sh!!ty when I told him it was me going to be calling the cops and told him to f**k off, then he let rip calling me all names under the sun - disgusting lowlifes

Got a call from that number a few minutes ago. Didn't recognize number so didn't answer. Then I looked up number on this site. I try to make a point of not answering numbers I don't know then checking it before I ring back.

I received a call from this number ,claiming this is ATO to call back ,Indian speaking voice in call centre ,very elaborate organise d scam, threatening violating a privacy act,absolutely no regard for person,
police matter for arrest.

'Mat' called and asked to speak to another person who lives here, I told them they were unavailable and so I asked if I could take a message for him. At first he only wanted to give me his name and number ( Mat Miller (02) 6145 2344) saying that it was personal but I insisted I know what the call was about or where he was calling from (as we get ALOT of scam phone calls unfortunately) and he finally said it was a taxation matter. I asked if I could get his company's name and after a lot of rudeness he stated that he was from the ATO. I will not be passing on the message as I had a feeling it was a load of bs even before coming to this page.

Same as all the rest....Jason left a message on my answer machine....was pretty sure it was a scam and looked up number here. Will report it to!

Have had a couple of calls from this number but they have just hung up.

Exactly the same message was left by "Jason O'Connor" yesterday. Still waiting for the police to arrive! - Can believe the ATO hasn't disconnected/blocked their number!

january 27/1/16 Just had a phone call from this number, kept me talking for ages said I was up for fraud of tax between 2004-2009 am over 71 years old, can't anyone stop these
people, was sick with worry, I told them I never worked out the group certificates, would get copies of all payslips, said name was Officer Jason Matthews, Mac Miller was first caller
hung up on him at first, never cheated tax office, no anser on (02) 6145 2344

Jason Connor must be a busy boy at the ATO, rang me twice on the 22nd January to let me know the cops are coming to arrest me, asked him to confirm whom he was talking to and where the cops could find me, he had no idea. Told him bring it on you worthless piece of %$&@. He got abusive and hung up. Yay me.

Called at least 4 times in the same day. The first call recorded was a testing to see if it answered. The next 1 was half way through the rehearsed recorded message The next 2 were complete message about ATO name Jason local police for arrest sounded like Asian accent or Indian over that way that sort of accent and English vocabulary is very broken up.
Deleted the messages.

These scammers have called me 4 times now. The message is always the same, a prerecorded message from "Jason O'Connor" from Australian Taxation Office, about "your tax evasion" and that a "police officer from the local police department will contact you and issue warrant for your arrest." The recorded message wants you to call (02) 6145 2344.
