received call on my mobile (Private Number) claimed to be Australian ATO with a refund of $9,000.00 for overcharges from my bank
ask if I would like it as direct dep into my bank or as chq was told to ring (02) 6140 3493 and give Ref DL14 and they would reliece the funds to me

like others I got the call on my landline from 0458 478 505 asking me to call (02) 6140 3493 regards to refund $ 7589 , I had some spare time to have fun today, So I called the number. the fun part was to releasing 7859.00 I had to go and buy 2 Apple Itune gift card worth of $200.00 . she said it is for lawyer fee which AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT HIRED to find my lost money,

Recieved a call saying theyhad a refund ifi called this number... scam

In Adelaide, SA - An Indian lady claiming to be from the Federal government sending me a cheque for $7500 because of overcharged bank fees. Need to call Alan Johnson or Maria Edwards with a reference number to arrange the cheque.
The entire call sounded like a scam. I said if you have all my details just said me the cheque, she said I have still have to call them first.
Strange that my bank does not charge me any bank fees anyway. She also asked which bank I was with. If she knew my bank had overcharged me how come she did't know which bank I was with?

received a call from the 0458 478 505 claiming that I was owed money re over charges from shopping and the bank etc....lucky me...I was then given a number to call and quote a reference number so Allan Johnson could organize a cheque for me..
What a joke...do they think we are all mad....as my father always said...a fool and his money is soon parted...and I am no fool

received a call from the same no. (02) 6140 3493 stating they were the Federal Government wanting to refund me $7589..........As soon as I stated I was the police dept and tracing the call they hung up.........LOL
