yeah, just received a call from this number.. i called back and the same story.

I got this call today. said my name is against a legal case If don't call a number back, I will be prosecuted.

Received a voicemail from this number today. Text-to-speech / computer recording.
"... legal department of the Australian Taxation Office... received an affidavit against your name... being listed as the primary suspect for the case being filed against your name... your house is under surveillance."
Clearly a scam. The ATO would call in person and/or send an actual letter.

It appears this scam is still going. Just got a recording, Australian voice.

Had a call today tax evasion automated, called back didn't know my name Indian guy... he hanged up on me, called him back started asking him questions, he then told me to f.... off & hanged up... defiantly a scam, I'm sure the ATO would send letters or go through your tax agent...

Seems like this is still happening, just received a call advising they are monitoring my house and there is a law suit been filled against me

ATO scam tax evasion, affidavit underway and house under surveillance. Ignore.

I received a call from Indian male on this 02 number, he told me he was from Crime Investigators >> ATO, he asked my name & I said you called me so you should know who I am.. He claimed if I don't tell him my name he can't talk to me, he wished me a good day & told me legal proceedings will go ahead!!!!! I reported this to authorities.

Had a voicemail from this number saying not to disregard as there is an affidavit against my name. It was a prerecorded voice in an Australian accent which is different from the above comments. Not calling back as it appears to be a scam. No mentiok of the ato in my call, just the affidavit.

Had a call from a Filipino voice referring to tax evasion or fraud. Threatened me with "arrest" when I asked probing questions about who specifically was calling, and he promptly hung up before I could give him further opportunities to "arrest" me.

Just got a recorded call from this number on my mobile. Affadavit filed in your name, your house is under surveillance, call back 'do not disregard, etc. No name mentioned of course......

Have been receiving 3 calls from various canberra numbers all recorded messages. 2 went to VM the other I answered which was still a recorded message

Looks like they're back. Same tax evasion scam as previously mentioned.

Yes I got a call today same thing as the others - it answered saying crime investigation unit or something like that but the man sounded like an american accent and with an indian twang in his voice. He was asking for my name and I said you called me and I then hanged up.

Just got a phone call from this number....thick Indian accent - guy's name was David Brown - lol - said he was from the ATO Legal blah blah...told him off and tried to call him back and he keeps hanging up on me!

This is a scam. saying legal action has been filed and we are watching your house....SCAM SCAM SCAM

We received a call yesterday, with a message left on the answering machine asking us to call them back re tax evasion. Number left was (02) 6140 3474. Indian accent.

Have a voice mail message on our home phone, I thought it was a scam so I looked up the number and found all of these comments. I hope they call back and that I answer the call. Have a good day everyone.
