Same today...a woman, Indian accent. She had already started speaking before the answering machine started recording and she continued after it had finished so didn't get the full message. But same BS. We are on in,ousted and this kind of crap puts me off giving to charities who ask for your contact details...sad really

Called and left a message to say an arrest warrant was to be issued for tax fraud.

Out of the blue I had a surly message from "Jennifer Smith" sub continent accent saying they where about to issue an arrest warrant on me and not to ignore
When I rang number she refused to explain what it was about and requested I call her again in the morning....fat chance of that I'll report her instead

Again as the posts above no paperwork nor email to back up their story

Tried calling yesterday, but, didn't reply to my "Hell" and just hung up....

Apparently they will be issuing a warrant for my arrest - can't wait. Something about fraud and I will have to pay all legal costs. Yeah right. Good try.

My elderly mum got a voice message from a Jenny regarding urgent legal matter and to call back - mum was freaking out as she always does the right thing. If I wasn't here she would have called them back :( it's disgusting what people do

same message , was a female, returned call from different phone gave no personal info will not hold my breath waiting for the warrant to arrive.

Got a call on the work phone from Jennifer Smith with this same number - such a waste of time.

Mass Call these guys phone number from Skype so they do not get your number and harass them back - really pisses them off. I have harassed one guy for 2 hours and had him boiling (I think they are in Philippines) he left the phone off the hook and I could hear at least three to 4 others on their respective phones scamming people to take money out of their bank whilst staying connected with tem on the phone!!

Scumbag - not everyone knows this is a scam. Some people, especially the elderly, vulnerable to being ripped off!

I have had a call from some Jason O'Çonner (some yank) what is the f--- CDPT tax avasion. Ringing tax office monday.

Same scam, this guy has called twice, both times message left on answering machine - once in August 2015 with a different number (02) 6152 8636 and now in September 2015 on this number (02) 6140 3438, this time his tone was more aggressive and called me by my first name. Never ring any number or give details over phone..ATO does not operate in this fashion

Funny thing is, they do not know I am a Registered Tax agent lol

Same here many messages left saying tax evasion and to call. I called from another phone and questioned them, asking to email me the details. When I said I'd report them he hung up. Dodgy!!

Identity theft. Phone (Voice). Briefly describe the scam:
Jason O'Connor left a phone message "I am from the Commonwealth Department of Public Prosecutions and you have a court case in your name for outstanding debts. Call back on 02 614034XX." DO NOT CALL BACK. Get onto ScamWatch on the ACCC web site and report the scam. Leave as much info as you can. This can be done anonymously if you want. If enough people do the it may be acted on.
