Called and left message. Said to be from the ATO and that a default had been lodged. This is scam.

Got a call bout owing tax wtf so many complaint is any one going to do anything

Left message on my phone from Jennifer Smith (with an indian accent) same story as all above.

These scumbags work on the premise that most people will call them back if they are threatened with a lawsuit.

Just remember that Jason O'Connor - whoever he is, is nothing but a crook and probably someone that f*cks his mother as well.

Just ignore him and anyone else that calls from this number or with this kind of information.

You will always be notified in writing by the tax office or by a legal firm - not by telephone.

Same here, Jason O'Connor from ato cddp left msg saying they are after us for tax evasion, assault and fraud, not to ignore msg. He sounded crazy, scam scam

He gets very up set if you keep calling him. Being a shift worker and having his number, it will give me someone to play with in the early hours of the morning!

Message on my answering machine from Jason O'Conner saying there was a lawsuit against me for tax evasion called back on the 02 number and it just hangs up on you

same thing, intimidating call. threatening legal action. sounded like it might have been a Philippino accent.

Called and left message, said they were from Public Prosecutions and I had a complaint lodged against my name by ATO. Was an intimidating caller. Left this number to call back.

Same caller, same message left on my answering machine today. 'My name is Jennifer Smith. There is a court case against you. Ring 0261....Make sure you do. This is very serious'. I was going to ring back to see what I could get from Jennifer Smith but I know it was a scam and that if no name was asked for, 'Jennifer' was out for blood money. I used to work for Consumer Affairs . First time ever that such an aggressive message has been left on the answering machine though. Getting cocky, aren't they?

Yep. I just go a similar message today and I phoned. She tried to get info from me but I asked her for ID and she hung up. I will contact the real ATO. Not sure if they can do anything but its a try.

All my phone calls go to my answering machine. I only check them once a week or so. 'Jennifer Smith' has left the same message - obviously a recording - no fewer than 4 times a day in each week. This week's message is slightly different, but still a recording. Do not be intimidated by these threatening calls. This is not the way the ATO makes contact.

Messaged received on machine from female (Indian sounding) (didn't give company name)stating that a legal law suit has be taken out against my name (didn't state my name) for Tax Fraud and that a arrest warrant was about to be issued. Was very insistent that I not ignore this keep repeating this number to contact her on. Fortunately I realised that it was a scam!. Have also received similar call from ph number (02) 8103 2012 but this time I they stated they were from IQ Headquarters.

Recieved a phonecall on the home landline and a voice mail was left. The male who spoke poor english said he was from ATO and money was owed and if not repaid an arrest warrant would be taken out. This is a scam

Got the call from "Jennifer Smith" yesterday whilst I was out.(Same scenario as above - Legal action etc) Have tried to return her call, as I want to ask her which Department she is with. I work for a Govt Department so it will be interesting to hear a response :-)
(Have been unable to get a response on the number after several attempts)

This guy keeps leaving messages on my answering machine, cant wait till he rings when im actually home, I will give him an ear full on behalf of everyone, leave this wanker to me
