Robotic voice - obviously an automated dodgy scam!! Usual story - call back to avoid visit from police, etc etc. Interesting since our phone number is a silent one.

Received the same call from (02) 6100 8659,, leads me to searching on google to find out this forum luckily!

Kick these people out of the country - ATO need to take strong action otherwise they keep doing this. Unfortunately ATO do not do anything either.

I recorded the robotic voice... should I bother to raise this with the police? do you think they will be bother to chase down these morons? I mean, someone must have rented the phone line/IP Phone number... but you need a court order.

Same as the others, ato tax fraud scare scam, but I suggest you DO call them back and waste THEIR time, reel them in, let them think they've caught one while you're catching them, the more you do it, the less they'll be able to scam others who are not aware of the scam. Its the best way to get rid of them, if you have the time that it, most of us dont, but if you do please call them back and waste theirs

They called me today for the second time, I let them talk and then I said I was going to call the police because I knew it was a scam, they guy said if I called the police they were going to kill me because they were from ISIS I said to do whatever the F#$% they wanted but I was going to call the police anyway and so I did.

Yes, SCAM I have reported it. You ring back, don't say anything as they can record your voice to use your identity.

Just received a call. Apparently from ATO, threatening police etc etc. Its obviously a scam.

We got this same call today. We immediately reported it to the ATO.

He couldn't even tell me where he sent the correspondence saying, "mam, i sent it to YOUR address". He couldn't even provide me with my own information and said they couldn't disclose the address to me - such an idiot.

Just got a call this morning 3 April 2017. Robotic Voice. American. Clearly a scam. Blocked Number. Should be chased down as preying on the Vulnerable. Surprised the Police and ATO haven't chased down the impersonator.

I have received a number of calls from this number. I informed the ATO of the scam. I have blocked the number but they still manage to call!

This number phoned me today it happened about a month ago with an Indian guy as well.i i had a huge go at this guy i let him talk and i asked him when has this tax issue been he said between 2011 to 2016 ,i said let me stop you there my fraud guy how can that be possible he said why, i said well for one i am not even a resident of Australia for one and for two ive only been in the country from 2016 ,he said i must have the wrong person,he had my name address etc , what a load of F...ckin sh..t.hope this helps anyone,call me them back and tell them to go F...uck them selves .sorry mind my language but hard working people dont need this stress or scare in there life.

Just had a call - horrible voice and message so hung up straight away - don't ring them!

Apparently this number has been calling numerous people for this past couple of days, claiming themselves to be the ATO and wanting to take payments from people if they do not want to "resolve this matter in court" and avoid seeing policeman at the doorstep. Please arrest these time wasters.

I received a call from this number, saying I need to call back, other wise I am going to get a nock on the door from police,and that the calls from the ATO , and that my wife is going to be in trouble, so I ring them back and he ask me to grab a pen and paper I didn't, but told him I did , after he told me to write his name, his ID numbers ect , and then asked me to repeat it which I couldn't, he goes if I don't listen to him , my wife would be in trouble, so I asked him if he had a wife if he did is she good looking if so I wanted to f*ck her , he hung up ha ha ha

I just received a automated message from this number (02) 6100 8126 and didn't bother ringing them. It's a scam! They are scum morons, so don't waste your time with this morons.
