They have called me 5 times this week. Each time using a different number (02) 6100 5357, (02) 6188 5918, (02) 6181 1501, (02) 6188 5917

Ever since I recently filled out a supposed Jetstar promotion online (I bailed part way through, but by then they already had my phone mobile number), I have been getting calls every day from this number, plus the other ones they use - (02) 6188 5918, (02) 6181 1501, (02) 6188 5917. I don't answer any of their calls and have blocked them, but I guess I'll keep getting calls until I've blocked all the numbers they've got.

You would think they stop trying after not picking up for at least 3 weeks now.
Constantly spoofs new numbers and new locations to try and get a hold of me. Moral of story: Don’t do those gift card competitions at the end of any ticket or retailing site. It seems they are all connected with spams and scams.

SCAM

Filled out survey from Coles and receiving calls ever since. I've never answered and they never leave a message. Calling me 3 times a day from different numbers last week. I was also getting SMS from "Frank Brown" and "Michael P" saying I've won a prize and have a URL to click on which leads to a survey or another website for you to enter bank account details.
Now calling once a day from a different number everyday.

Some people have filled out surveys (for gift voucher or to be a mystery shopper) from Woolworths, Aldi, Jetstar, Virgin and have started receiving these calls also. These scams are on all the websites we use so beware!

Don't answer.
Some people are getting calls and emails.
People are saying that they want a recording of you saying YES so that they can use it for other purposes. Once they've heard you say YES they end the call.
Some people are saying that the caller is selling funeral/life/pet insurance or advising that they've won a competition or in the draw for $250 000 or an iphone.

Whether they are selling something, are a scam or want a recording of your voice, they are checking if your number is active and will keep calling if you keep answering.

One complainant has said that it may be an automated system that makes the calls and if you answer the call, the system puts your call through to a telemarketer. If you answer and don't say anything the system will hang up.

Do not call register doesn't work when they are calling from overseas. Apparently you can buy these Australian area code numbers online to route calls through.

Some people are saying you can block they're numbers by emailing consumercare @ brandsofchoice.com.au
but I don't want to risk sending an email and they realise it's active and they reply with spam or keep calling.

I've never answered and they never leave a message.

Calling me 2 or 3 times a day, they are using diferent numbers but the first three prefexes are the same, going to block them

I have received several phone calls over the last 6 days from this number and also: (02) 6188 5918, (02) 6181 1501, (02) 6188 5917. Mostly just hang ups but on the one occasion I did answer, the individual said I had won and iPhone and wanted to verify my details. When I said "no, I'm not giving you my information" the person hung up. I have blocked these numbers and also reported to my phone provider. These are nuisance calls as far as I'm concerned and potentially trying to scam people. BEWARE!!!

Caller: SCAM claiming to be from the ATO

The number (02) 6100 5877 is probably related to this number and also a scam. They left a pre-recorded male voice message on my phone saying that my tax file number was "suspicious" due to fraudulent and criminal activity, and if I don't get back to them asap they would seize my "social and assets". Obviously not the ATO!

I had your one about the tax the my QTax told me to report the fraud as they threatened to have me arrested in a message.
Now I've just another one now from (02) 6100 4093 also in a message telling me something about files and if I don't call them back will have me arrested. It was a mans automated voice which I will now be reporting to the scams office.
If you return the call it costs you money, that's how they get their money. Report it to the scam office.mthe other numbers they use are(02) 0924 6675, (02) 6711 1613, (03) 9006 5675, (03) 9006 5623 + private numbers. That's just in this last month. Unless you know the person or the've left a message you know, never answer or call them back. Hope that helps.

Just got called from these people. I am even on the no call list. Guess it does not matter.

I stupidly started a survey for Woolworths, years ago! They keep trying. I have taken to just not answering my mobile or home phone if unknown numbers. If the number in caller id looks suss I check it out on sites like this. If I do by chance decide to answer the call, I don't say anything, and let the caller initiate. I have become rather good at getting them off my phone.

I have had the RFS supposedly calling, that is another scam doing the rounds. (02) 9094 2438). RFS do not harass via the phone. check the website on how to help your local rfs.


Today I got a call from some number in Canberra - hence I am here... (02) 6100 3426 was the number in my caller id. Nice try. No dice. lol

I received call from (02) 6100 3426 saying calling from tax office if I don't call beck they will take action against me/ court orders.
is it real call I should worry about ?

I am so over this, they call me three times per day, never leave a message. I dont answer but they keep calling. Hopefully they will get tired soon.
