Total con.... the number they ring is an OLD mobile phone that I have kept going just for emergencies, and to keep my main mobile number totally private. I look at it - if the call IS genuine (eg - telling me I have won a prize - a miracle might happen!!) then they will leave a message for me. I recently did fill out an online competition form - can't remember what - but I do remember that they went through pages and pages of options to tick for follow up help.I ticked NONE - yet since then have been plagued by missed calls on my mobile. Even signing up for so-called discount power and health insurance sights - I say I am not interested in (eg) life insurance, yet STILL get emails (and possibly phone calls). I NEVER answer my spare mobile - if it is important, they will leave a message. And telemarketers will NEVER leave a message if they can't speak to you directly.

So glad that a lot of you have left feed back. When I see numbers I don't have in my contacts list I block. Its great to have this site to check all Unknown numbers 👍

SO annoying. They keep calling and, knowing it's a Spam call, I don't answer but they NEVER leave a message.

Had 5 calls from this number November 16. I just ignore it.

damn competition

First call this morning at 8.09am from "No Caller ID" - a man asking for Fanny White. Second call from this number at 9.34am - a women this time again asking for Fanny White. It is really annoying...

I had a missed call from this number this afternoon. After reading these comments I won't be returning their call.

Just called and hang up

This is just a marketing call. They are on my do not call register and they still seem to continue calling. They are blocked on my mobile now so hopefully they will get the idea.

'Parental Choice' - Spam / Telemarketing

This number called me, Same comments as above "Brands of Choice" competition etc..... So turned off my Caller ID and then prank called them 25 times and then let them hang up to me :)

Guy with Indian accent called today about "a competition you have entered into." Spam call - I hung up.

This isn't a telemarketing call as some of you think. It's a SCAM! Told me I'd entered an online competition to win $500 so I asked "what is the name of the competition?" and their reply was "one to win $500". Ok? So what is the name of the competition? Who is running the so-called competition? It's all bullsh*t.

Got a call today. They tried to get my details by claiming I won a lottery even tho I didn't enter a lottery.

Block this number. Annoying recording about competition entered.

Scam. said I won $2,000 for a competition "Brands of Choice". I requested further details of the competition and she hung up.
Called back the same number and call could not be connected.

I've had 6 calls since 10:12 this morning. I wish they'd get the message that I don't want to talk to them! Have even spoken to Telstra and they say that it's not one of their numbers. Won't 'block' the number for at least 8 days.
