Same old Marketing calls. How annoying.

Yes that damn competition about winning a trip to Bali, I started the questionnaire saying no to everything but it sent so many spam emails now daily phone calls from this number or no caller ID

Now it's Auto Block

This number calls me several times a day. When I answer no one is there, just silence, so I hang up. No idea who they are or what they want.

So annoying ringing 3-4 x a day finally answer & tell them i am a telemarketer & they hung up should see the end of that number calling. It works every time just tell them you are a telemarketer :)

A few days ago I responded to an email about becoming a tester for Aldi products, but when I saw all the questions to be answered re insurance etc I didn't go further. Since then I am getting called by someone on this number and am ignoring, and have now blocked.

Called the number and spoke to a Justine she asked me for my mobile number and even had my name, said I signed up for some Apple products competition, I asked her to take me off there phone listing and she just kept saying to confirm my name again I told her to take me off there phone listing so she hung up on me, I rang back and got a Luanne on the phone, I told her I was speaking to a Justine told her to take me off the phone listing then told her in so many words not to ring me then hang up on me and be so blahblahblah rude

they won't hold until I answer. I have now blocked all private numbers, but the missed call SMS from Telstra arrives to tell me I missed a call from a private number. Dodo were doing this a few years ago. Thank goodness for this site.

The reason why no one answers, is it is a automated process ('Bot), if you answer, it reads that information and stores it as a valid phone number, if you do not answer it gets a different message, and if its disconnected, then they get a different result.

Once they recieve a positive, they then sell your number (as well as everyone elses that answered), to the phone scammmers and cold callers.

My advice is as soon as you get a call that doesn't speak, add it to your auto-reject list, after a while you will see a pattern emerging from a state and a group of phone numbers that these 'stards use to build and sell these lists.

I am in Melbourne (03) area code. I keep getting numbers ringing on my mobile form (02) area code. I only know one person in Sydney who would call me and they are in my phone. Everyone else gets added to my reject list.
Phone number is on the Do Not Call Register as well which seems, very much, to be a toothless tiger. I have never had a response from them saying they have fined anyone I have ever complained about.

i had a missed call earlier on this number so i rang it and i got a msg about that i was randomly selected for a competition and that they were currently and that i could ring tomorrow.
So its some type of scam.

I just cannot believe how these people can get away with this????? If you are lucky enough to have a phone that displays these numbers just make a note and call your Telephone Provider eg. Telstra to "Block" --- and you shouldn't receive any more calls from them... If that doesn't work... ask your Provider to Block overseas numbers too... if you don't have any problems with that ... then do it!!! Its the only way to rid these scumbags that prowl on the elderly or not in formed people.... I just cannot believe that the Law hasn't come down on these people!!! I entered a competition on a legit email that I receive and bingo!! They got my telephone number with a ridiculous reason to call me... I thought I just needed to put in a few details was enough to enter... but No.... there's more... they are annoying little people that have nothing better to do than to harass you... so lesson learnt... don't answer competitions on internet... or surveys on telephones ... they are just trouble... with a capital "T".

I dont know who this number is calling me. They dont leave a message.
I already had this number blocked, I advise everyone to block this number too.
