Dont do anything it is a scam

my mate got a call from same number the pattern is exactly same as described in the above poststhank god i googled to this page and asked him not to give any info to those frauds.

got a call today from this no, said same that i got a grant from ATO for $7000 and have to call back to claim it, as if i am an idiot

hey we got a call today from the same number offering $7000 from the ATO..the dumb fellow called again after we did not return the call..we have reported this to the ORIGINAL ATO!

I work for the ATO and can confidently say this is a scam. These types of scams are particularly common at this time of year. If you ever receive a call (or email/letter) from someone who claims to be from the ATO but you aren't sure about it, call the ATO first.The number to call for individuals is 132861, which you can check on the ATO website ;)

I too got.a.call.today .. the guys speaking seemed.unprofessional.if it was tha ato wouldn't the officers be Australian?.. and why only western union?.. did anyone get the money?
