Some guy supposedly saying he is calling from the ATO, which he is not: attmepting to inform you that your property and connections are under investigation - the real ATO would never say something like this. He also wants you to return his call on the number above; DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DO THIS!!

SCAM! Bastards rang pretending to be ATO and demanding money or my husband would be jailed for 90days by the Federal Police! Very aggressive. DONT fall for this! Contact scam watch.gov.au and report them like we did!

Received a text message today.This message is from legal Department taxation office. The purpose of this call is regarding the enforcement action which has been..................... That was all it said. Deleted this of course.

Same as above “ATO” reporting tax fraud. Utter nonsense.

Automated voicemail claiming to be ATO for tax fraud/invasion threatening court.

Scam, ignore. ATO will never contact you this way and court doesn't happen like that, need to be served and have ample time to file a response.

Received a call from the same number with a bot voice asking me to immediately call them back to avoid any criminal charges. I'm glad I checked it first and found out its a scam. the number had Sydney's code (02) but it had wrong caption (Canberra)

Yes same comment as above. This person disclosed, to a third party who answered my phone, information that I was to be investigated for tax evasion. This is not the ATO.

The same message as Benjamin except they were going to send an officer to arrest me.

just received similar call. Burst out laughing when he go to the bit about 6 officers ready to come and handcuff me and they'll then lock me in a dark room!! I've contacted ATO and the lady I spike to has initiated a watch on it. Suggested they should put ad in paper or on radio/tv.
