This is happening to me too. I got a call on Monday from an indian woman with 3 survey questions then told I had won a sony mp3 player. She told me that I could pick it up from my local post office, which already had me questioning her because that sounded really weird. She got my post code and the area of my local post office from me. Then the next day she calls again saying can she have my email address to send a gift certificate for the mp3 player. I gave her that and also my name. She then started talking about the party they were having "here in Perth" (a phrase she kept dropping into the conversation) and then invited me to it. I said I'm in Adelaide and she had no concept of where that was and said well couldn't you get here and I had to explain to her that it was a long way from Perth. Her excuse was that she had only moved there recently!!! As indian call centre people tend to pretend they are local I just assumed that was why she was lying. Then she brought up the raffle ticket and gave me the number. The email she sent from Lei Huang was very dodgy looking and I could see on the so-called gift certificate that they were after ID details. Then the next day (today) I have received a phone call with noise in the background from her saying she had just seen my name on the screen and that I had won a prize. She is going to call me tomorrow morning with the prize details. I went on here to see if this had happened to others, but was already convinced this was very dodgy. I certainly won't be giving any other details. At this point they have my phone number, name and email. It will be interesting questioning her tomorrow as no doubt she is going to tell me I have won lots of money. If only winning money were so simple lol! I can't believe people went so far as to give them bank details and even their id!!!

I got the same call from a Filipino lady by the name of "Liesel" who mentioned that she was from the Baida Group and that I had won a free MP4 Player after answering 3 survey questions. They asked for my contact details, which I provided, and informed me that they would be sending a Gift Claim voucher via email. The next day, the same lady called again and said that as a thank you for taking part in the survey, I was invited for a raffle draw and that my name would be entered into said raffle even if I wasn't able to attend. Yesterday evening, I received a call from the same lady who informed me that I had won a prize in the raffle but as it was ongoing, she would call me again this morning to inform me on what I had won. Now, up to this point I was amused, but this set off warning bells in my head. Sure enough, she called me back this morning and told me that I had won HK$450,000 which was their 2nd prize. This kinda confirmed my suspicion that it was a scam and I began searching online for anything related to it. This is how I came across this page among others.I then called "Liesel" back at (02) 6100 3462 and told her that I needed a few answers before I could proceed with anything further. I asked her about why the company was using a Yahoo account for its emails instead of a official company email account and her answer was that it was the coordinator's account and that he had set it up. Sounded like BS to me, but I persisted.I then asked her since the company was based in Hong Kong and that the prize money was to be distributed from a bank there, what was the name of the bank. She sounded noticeably distressed on the phone and he voice kept going higher and higher and she said that she didn't know which bank was in charge of the distribution. Thats a whole lot of BS in my opinion. If you're handing out prizes that involve cash, you would definitely know which bank was in charge of cash prize distribution. After that, I pretty much lost it and told her I didn't believe her and that it was a scam and I then told her to pretty much f*** off. She got angry and said that she wouldn't stand for such language and she was hanging up. Typical.Note: IF you are still unconvinced that this is a scam, please Google "Baida Group Scam". You will find further evidence there. Thank You

Hey Guys, A friends mother had a phone call asking to do a survey, she did it with them and they gave her a ticket number to go into a draw to win a prize. They have just called her back today to tell her they were from Galaxy Entertainment Group and that she had one 42000 Hong Kong dollars, which is about $5000AUD. They have faxed her through a form to fill in to receive the money. They did however call from 3040 2566 and said it was a brisbane number? Be careful, they will try it all.
