yes i just had the same person try to ring me val and wanted me to hand over $100 and that this ray martin would get back to me so i rang the ato straight away and the ato people say its a scam i got the coversation recorded so the ato can here it as this is totally wrong and trying to rip people off at the best of times but now while we are close to christmas is so sick so many of us out there struggeling to give our kids a good christmas and then people like this get other peoples hopes up lucky i was i was buying in to the s**t i still don't even have all the furiture back that i lost in the floods last year PFFFFFF

The same number tried to ring my grandmother stating the same thing. I will be contacting the ATO nyself today and getting to the bottom of this scam.

same call but from tracy jones ato canberra .gave same number for ray martin but ending in 58. also telling me there was a fee of $100.Had my old address from two years ago.Very hard to understand this person.Shannon did you have any luck with ato

This number rang up claiming to be 'James Lee'from the ATO in Canberra and that the ATO had a refund for us. They provided us with a TR Ref #.I have received several scam calls previously but this was very authentic. They even had our address details and said that they would be around our house to deliver the cheque. Then he went on to talk about a security UKASH voucher or something like that before I cut him off. The scary part was they had my personal details - What should I do?

This number rang up claiming to be 'Ray Martin' (very original) from the ATO in Canberra and they would be around at our house in 30mins with a cheque. They obviously never showed as they were just ringing to check who was home but seriously get a real job and stop trying to scam people!!!! Since when does the ATO hand out money and since when do they deliver personally and on a weekend. Could you imagine the overtime rates -  who would be that gullible!!!!
