Caller: allegedly the Tax Office

This is a scam and should be treated accordingly.

I called back number (02) 6100 3088 rang once then gets disconnected automatically.

Automated call, left automated voicemail msg saying "Our department is investigating you and your family. We have tried to notify regarding this issue but we have never got any response from you. So it has been considered an intentional fraud and a lawsuit has been filed under your name. In order to get more information you can call our department on *number provided*". Did not state name of organisation in message. Suspicious message, may be seeking access to personal data via mobile phone.

Caller: abusive woman claiming to be from taxation department

why does this number not registrer on your database - it calls ok so is obviously listed somewhere

Caller: very abusive woman, difficult accent but not particularly oriental intonation

alleged investigation underway for me and my family alleged was from australian taxation office
this number does not show up as being legitimate so is presumably an overseas originated scam

Says there from ATO. Rang to confirm it is a scam. Number is 02 but it said it’s was Canberra location
