Same here just received a call asking for me to call them back clearly a scam, even their recorded message sounded suspicious.

Recorded message saying to call ATO Crime Investigation Unit on (02) 6100 3029.
Got worried so rang it back. When the guy answered with heavy accent and started asking questions about my business I hung up and searched the number to learn it was a scam. Reported it to scam watch.

Same thing happened, I called back 30 times... Picked up once and I said I couldn't understand him and he hang up!!

Same as above but it was a voice message left on my phone. When tried to call back was engaged

yes this happened to me today. they said to call back it was time sensitive before they took legal action

This is a scam, not the ATO. BEWARE!

I got the massage and told him its a hoax and hung up on him

Called me 15 times in 2 minutes. Each time I clicked the reject call button. Left no message.... probably a scammer

Received a call with a recorded unclear message threatening legal action against something not mentioned clearly.

Digital phone message left yesterday asking me to call (02) 6100 3029 before legal proceedings commence. On calling the number this morning they say they are the Australian taxes office. They person who answered with a very strong accent requested I call back later to speak to someone who can be understood.

Everybody please be careful, this is a SCAM these people will ask for your personal details and demand immediate payment. They can also hack into your phone and they will say you are going to have a warrent out for your arrest and have your home seized. Please give any details of these people to your local police station.

Recorded message claiming tax crime investigation and would take legal action got abusive when I called back to see who it was I did not give an info and hung up he had a very strong accent .

This is definitely a scam phone call.

Recorded message claiming to be tax office and saying overdue tax was due or they would take legal action.

If you call this number back and happen to sound young and female, you will also be treated to obscene sexual propositions.
