Left a message on my a/m. They say they're from the tax office.'Very urgent' 'Do not ignore this call'. Had this before - always the first couple of seconds of the message is garbled, like the recording didn't happen. You can't hide from these people, they'll get your contact somehow - just ignore.

Just another Indian call centre trying to scam people. Ignore it, the real tax department never makes calls like this.

ATO Scam call. Please note that the ATO will NEVER call anyone, especially with a pre-recorded message. Do NOT give them any financial/personal info and never send them money! Best to ignore the calls and block the number. Calling them back and stating you're reporting the number and/or know it's a scam will usually get your number blocked so that you cannot contact them. HOWEVER; they will probably get more numbers to call from.
