This is a total scam they have started asking for bank account details and also drivers licence details as well as telling me the hong kong bank would ring me regarding transfer of funds. Do not under any circumstances give any information out

I received a call from the Xiang Zian Group saying we had won $HK450,000 in a raffle drawn at a Company Dinner / celebration / launch - (2nd Prize) - 1st prize was a $90, 000 car ! Just in case this was legit, I opened a new savings account to effect the transfer of the 'cash cheque' held by the Hang Seng Bank in Hong Kong - a person named 'Nicole' phoned me (her number in Hong Kong is 0011 8528 1703 606) to verify the new account details and then said there was one more requirement - a Tax Certification Form needed by the Bank for the Hong Kong Govt . I called the 'supervisor' of the Xiang Group phone tag team in Canberra name - Allison - (phone number (02) 8100 3130 - normally answered by either Farrie or Megan) and asked her what this surprise requirement was and she then pretended to tag with Nicole and phoned me back to inform me that this tax certificate related to a Hong Kong Govt regulation for the transfer of amounts exceeding $HK100,000- a 6% tax that had to be paid along with the lodgement of the completed certificate - she said the money should be sent Western Union to the Xiang Zian Accountant in Hong Kong - ! (AUD $3,600.00 !) and then the cash cheque amount held by the Hang Seng Bank (Nicole) could be transferred to my newly opened savings account in Australia. I checked with my bank in Hong Kong (ANZ) and they advised there was no such requirement. This group are still active in Canberra as of this report.

I was scammed too... I had an asian woman named Ryza inform me that I had won 450000 HKD and an ipod nano, they also asked for an id number and I gave them my library card only as id, until I found all of these messages. THANK YOU ALL!!!

I have just had my call saying that I had won 2nd prize $450,000HK. Nellie is going to email me all the details!!!!!! The legal guys went back to HK this morning after their launch party!!!!!!hopefully no one will get sucked in.
