Called saying she is "Sarah from your Broadband provider technical support".I said "Not you're not. It's scam and complete scam. Now f*** off"She just laughed loudly down the phone at me so I put the phone down.

Someone from (02) 5645 8632 called my parents today claiming to be from virgin media, they said that there was a virus on the computer that was corrupting the service of others in the area and threatened to cut off the internet connection. My parents didn't fall for it and instead contacted virgin to find out if they had tried to contact them, which they hadn't.

had a silent call from (02) 5645 8632 around 4pm today. they hang up after 30 seconds or so

someone with an indian accent said they worked for sky/bt/talk talk and that i had a virus on my computer and asked me to go onto my computer with which i refused. They called again and i didn't answer.

Just had a call from this number.. Similar thing foreign lady saying she was from my broadband provider n there was a problem.. I just said no your not.. N she went silent.. Funny thing is did actually get a call from virgin once n I was so fed up with scam calls and a bit grumpy I gave him a right roasting... Ooops...

Just had a call from Indian person Kevin Patel who said I had a virus on my computer he asked me to go into Team Viewer.com and then had to download some software. This brought up lots of viruses, he then wanted me to pay £199.00 to him which I refused, does this mean he has installed some sort of spyware to get into my account please advise. Worried, normally I do not fall for this but seemed so genuine.
Said he represented Virgin, BT etc
