Got a call from this number with someone claiming to be from the "Victorian Academy of Learning" doing a survey on school children in Victoria. Doesn't seem legit to me.

My boyfriends ex-girlfriend has received numerous calls from this number chasing him up for an apparent debt. Do not give them any information.

i had the few calls from this number, when i pick the call nobody speaks ,, looks like some sort of scam..

I have received 2 calls today. I don't have any family or friends overseas at the moment. When i answer, there is an automated message saying "please hold the line for an important message" or something similar and it repeats that with some beeps thrown in for good measure.

Pretty sure it is some sort of scam!! I didn't stay on the line long enough to find out.

they are still doing it, i have been getting these calls from the same number for nearly 2 years! its turning out to be harrassment, they call from that number, then half an hour later try with blocked numbers...its so annoying

they provide incorrect details hoping u will rectify it and give them the real details then they on sell that info - keep hanging up and report them

This is definately a call from overseas, so if you have friends or relatives calling that is probably them. I think when they ring there number is intercepted by this number and it is what appears on your phone. So if you call back call back the friend or relative not this number....I would like to know what Telstra is doing about it......M friend used to call me and and it would come up private, then next time it was his number and then next it was this number so someone is intercepting the calls.....annoying

I received a call from this number a few moments ago and from a blocked number about an hour ago and they sounded like the same person. They were not speaking english though so i could not understand and hung up.

I had a call from this number, it was a friend calling from Belgium. Wierd

same here 3.33am wake up then try to call it back and its disconnected. hope they feel good.......curly wurly

Im getting calls from this number at crazy hours of the morning and when I call back the number is disconnected. I think you may be right that it is someone from overseas calling and just filters to this number.

I have received two calls from this number in the last week. No response from caller. Telstra should disable this number

I think it sometimes happens when someone is calling from an international number, it just filters through to this number, and that is why it shows up.....

I called this number back and got the Optus recorded message the number is disconnected. Hmmm

I received a call today from a friend overseas. Normally when she calls on her mobile it comes up as 'blocked' but today it was this number. I was surprised when this number came up and then she spoke. She could not have been in NSW and was using her overseas mobile. WTF

Wtf? I got 4 calls from this number. When I pick up there is no one on the other line. When I call the number back, Telstra advises that the number is disconnected. Is this some sort of scam?

i answered this number and no one spoke, then when I called back it said the number was disconnected.

Its one of those numbers that get money if you call them....best not to call back.

i  am in the UK i call my partner from my mobile 'she is currently traveling' and every now and again this number shows up and she wont answer because she dont recognise it as me.she not tried to call it back and when it does this i hang up call back and its my number showing.

Received 2 calls from this number first at 1230, then again at 0630. French connection but not sure what was said. Although did distinguish internet being mentioned.

Got a call from this number this morning at 6.10am on a Saturday!!! Thought must have been very important tried to return call but says unavailable or disconnected!!!!
