India! Trying to flog extra government solar rebates!!!

In Victoria, just had a call from this number but did not answer it. Googled this number and here I am. Lol. Glad I didn't answer it.:-)

Just keep calling then hanging up

New scam- left a msg saying I'd commmited fraud and an arrest warrant had been issued. Have to call a number to avoid action blah blah blah. It's a prerecorded American sounding voice. What a crock

Suspected scammer chatted to my answering service "Its Lenny" (Google it), I wonder if they made a sale :)

Called me and there was a pause, then a lot of background noise.
I hung up on them and checked this site!
Blocked these pests

Received call. They knew me name. Said had people on my area in the next week wanting to do 20min assessment for solar. I said not interested in solar she hung up. Scam.

Indian accent, said that she was from Telstra, and that my computer had a virus and was going to be without internet for 3 months. (ha ha) Asked her what her telstra staff number was and she rattled off a number. I just hung up on her.

Guy with a strong Indian accent told me he was from Telstra, and that my internet connection was being used by at least 6 other people. Did I give permission for my friends and neighbours to use my connection? I told him my internet wasn't from Telstra, and he said that part of the money I give to my ISP goes to Telstra and they are providing my security (out of the goodness of their hearts????). He wanted me to go to my computer so he could show me all the people using my internet connection and I told him I was at work. He's going to call back tonight when I get home, and I think I'll leave him holding for an hour or so. Or scam him back by pretending to go along with it.... Definitely a scam!

SCAM "NATIONAL BANK SECURITY DEPARTMENT" ...
They knew my last name and claimed to be the National Bank Security Department. They said they were tracing a transaction on my bank account of $750 that seemed suspicious. While listening to them I checked my internet banking and there was no transaction. I said I was calling up on the other line to trace the call. They hung up. I then called the bank and they advised me that they had not called me and there was no transaction in question. clearly they were trying to get info out of me to rob my bank account. They seemed quite well practiced in their statements

I love this site! This number kept calling me but I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know. If it's legit they will leave a message - they rarely do. Scammers!

2 calls from this number today. There have been previous numerous calls. I see the number & just do not answer. Might be wrong but I guess that they call our numbers & if we answer pass it on to various scammers to try their luck.

Much the same as all the other comments. Indian type accent. Calling from Telstra about Mt internet connection. Said there were problems. Wanted me to be in front of my computer. I led him on for a while about having computer on. Eventually he hung up.
I do not have a Telstra internet connection. Everything is done through a Vodafone mobile so obviously a scam.

called claiming to be Telstra, said the computer had been compromised. they asked to connect to my PC. They brought up the event log and filtered the errors. they transferred me to "technical Support" and asked me to download teamview. they then put a syskey password. It's a scam demanding money. I was locked out of my account. I went to my local Telstra Store. and he restored my PC using a previous restore point. How do we stop them calling I am so sick of them they call me up to 4 times every day!!!!
HOW CAN I STOP IT??? They have my home & mobile numbers!

Was told they wanted to do a quick survey of only four questions I hung up on them. Two minutes prior to this call I had a blocked number auto rejected 02831811678, This number may also be associated with this scam.

They just called me. They are really low life #$^%ed scammers. Claim to be from Telstra, they wish.
