Scumbags call several times a day from different numbers in Newcastle and Brisbane, asking me to confirm my personal details. I refuse to give my details to a stranger. They seem to get a kick out of annoying people. I'm blocking all these and future numbers.

They call me so many times a day. All from different phone numbers. I answered and they won't confirm where they're calling from and so I won't confirm anything.

They obviously have my details on file, so I said if I have a debt I want to know who the debt was accrued with, how much I owe and when it was apparently accrued.

They then sent me an email with a dollar amount and that's it. Not one of the other details I requested.

Rang me back TWO HOURS after giving birth and left an abusive message on my phone because they had been calling me every two hours my entire day long labour.

Bloody pigs. Won't be seeing a cent from me.

I am getting pissed off with these deadbeats.
Some one used my address to get an optus phone.
I have spoken to them, emailed them to explain the situation.
When I asked how can someone use my address to get the phone, she hung up.
But yet I still average four calls a day from both the NSW & QLD numbers.
The numbers call about two minutes apart and when answered it hangs up.
Talk about harassment!
And it is not even my debt.!!

Yes its lion finance. I have been getting harrassed by them for some time. I have credit card debt. But i just wanted to know have these scumbags any authority to take you to court over the existing debt?

Just received a call from the above number.
Female that called requested my address and birthdate.
I asked who are you and the reply clh.
Told her to "F off ya scammer!"
and hung up.

Sounds familiar, my name wrong address.. I've not lived in the state the bill relates to.. had it cleared from Dunn & Bradstreet, but Veda won't, all they did was remove the incorrect address from my file. I only have to wait until August, pissed off at the person/s that did this in the first place, but a truckload of crap to the idiots that don't let up on their calling..

Why don't our legislators do something about these rip off merchants or are they part of the scheme. No guts in any of them!

this call centre has been calling me seventy times a day 7 days a week. I've been in hospital under emergency psychiatric care and unable to answer my phone. How is this harassment legal?

If it is Lion Finance, they threatened to take me to court I told them I will see them there, and I will counter sue them for harassment after hours as I have a record of each time they called told them I will bring along the emails stating that I have no outstanding debt, apparently its with Telstra but I have never used Telstra can't stand Telstra they are nothing but a bunch of arseholes, I have even told Telstra that I have never had an account with them sent them emails as well wanted to speak to the big boss all off a sudden he/she is out of the country.....funny that huh....
