Caller: Scammer re Internet connection

Received a call on landline at about 3.50pm - male robotic /recorded voice stated where they were from but I didn't catch it - The voice then said "As of today your internet will be disconnected" Everyone in Australia knows about the NBN & you can even go online & see when installation is happening in your suburb & when you have to organise a service provider by. Like everyone else I sure am sick of these type of scammers. .

Been called several times by this caller. Caller rings my number. Silence, then hangs up. I am resident in retirement village and have had over a hundred calls this year. What prevents Telstra investigating these numbers? There is plenty evidence on Reverse Australia.
