I got the exact same message saying I had a camera ordered through Amazon! Scammers will try anything!

Sends SMS claiming a large purchase was made via Amazon and asks for a call back to query it.

Scam - Someone texted me from a random mobile number telling me that we've bought a TV on Amazon and to call them back on this (02) number.

I have paid approx. $2000 to Amazon allegedly for a laptop but I did not. Scam? The msg said to call (02) 4786 0110 for queries. Scam??

I received a text from this number informing me that I had paid for a lap top computer on order AMAZON#10631415T and that I should call them to query the purchase.
No one owns the number and no money was paid. It is a scam.

They sent a txt message to call this number if I have a query regarding my successful order for a Sony TV I ordered from Amazon. I don't have a Amazon account and I did not order a TV.

This is a serious scam. They claim to be Amazon, but are not. They were able to change my wife’s Yahoo and Amazon passwords.
Beware.

got a text message to say my Amazon order of $2199 for a camera was successful and "Call us on: ((02) 4786 0110 for query Thank you" no order made with Amazon and was not going to call the number.

They say they are from Amazon but they are a scammer

I got a text message from 0481 943 480 saying that my $2200 camera order with Amazon had gone through, and to call this (02) number if there was a problem.

Since I had made no such order (I checked my accounts to make sure they were not compromised) I assume the scam is that they want my details and credit card number in order to "cancel the order".

Don't call them, unless you intend to waste their time. :)
