Again, an Indian accent. Said they were from Telstra. Said my computer/modem was corrupting their main computer. Somehow downloaded a program that took control of my computer. Got banking and Paypal details. They $6000 into my account to test the security system. Then they wanted the money back. On-line banking now "locked". They suggested that I go to the bank, withdraw the cash and purchase I-Tune gift cards at a supermarket. You give them the ID of each card, they check them and then hang up. They work after business hours so you cannot check with the bank or Telstra

Indian accent, very noisy background, telling me he was going to make an appointment for A TECHNICIAN to come to my house with an NBN box so that my phone connection would not be cut off when the NBN comes to my area in the coming months. (It's not actually rolling out here for at least another year, so I know it's a scam.) The kicker - it would cost $150. "To whom do I make this payment?" I ask. "To me", he says. "I will just transfer you to my senior supervisor." I waited for about 30 seconds for more fun and games, but nobody else came on the line so I hung up.

Hung up as soon as answering machine picked up the call. Called the number, came up with 'the number you have called is not connected'.
