WARNING SCAM ALERT I have had three calls from this number all reporting to be from the Australian Taxation office, all Indian accents, all saying that i have legal action pending against me for Tax evasion and that i need to contact this number and arrange payments before i am taken to court.
I have contacted the ATO and reported this to them, Its a Scam. Person i spoke to said this was the second call today re this number and the last person was an aged pensioner. Low Life Scum.

I just had a call from the same number 03 9754 263, gave me a reference number and assked me to call the same number (02) 4407 0078, she asked me to confirm my home number and I said i prefer to use my mobile, she said please hold and hung up. Immediate after the same guy rang me back on the 03 number saying did you call the number? I said yes and said I have my home phone diverted to my mobile and don't actually have a physical home phone.

He said ok now listen you can call the number back and speak to Angelina Cooper (she originally answered the phone) I rang the number back and it was constantly engaged, then it rang and they picked up the phone and hung it up. I think they were onto me that I was playing a game with them, I acted very eager when he told me I had $7,562 coming my way and they must have thought they had a real sucker on the phone. I'm going to call them back a few more times with different names and numbers to give them some grief dirty so and so's!!!

I got a call from this number saying I have done tax fraud in last five years so there is four warrant issued and my licence and passport will be surrender ..they ask for my opinion to pay the money or finding the lawyer I said I will call back ,then I realized that this is fraud Call from this number (02) 4407 0028

I received a call from an Indian accent guy saying I had a problem with Australian taxation office and asked me to call (02) 4407 0078

I received a msg today from this number saying I was about to be charged with fraud and tax evasion. Pretty obvious it's a scam...

Just received a call from this number on 4.7.2017. Very threatening scam saying they are from ato and i have done fraud. Be aware.

Bloody Indian scammers

Just received a call from (02) 4407 0078 telling me I was being investigated for tax fraud and to ring back and not ignore the phone call.
I rang my tax person and they told me straight away that it is a scam going around.

I have had a call from this number (02) 4407 0078 claiming from the tax department Indian accent

Just another scam don't call back they have threatened me with legal action for the second time

Called me - told me they are going to charge me for not paying taxes and requested to call back. This time it was Michael Anderson.

Just received a call from this number (male Indian accent) claiming to be from the ATO and advising that I should call back before a warrant was issued for Fraud.

Received a call and voicemail from this number stating they were from the ATo and i needed to call them back regarding a legal matter. SCAM

2 private calls last 2 days from private number Tax Fraud LoL asked to call (03) 5902 7982 then called from (02) 4407 0078 same rubbish they don't even know my name Tax Fraud Scam be careful

Some India called and said their was a legal case against me. I told him I have contacted the police and he hung up on me

Received a call from mobile number 0427 542 636 where a woman with a Filipino accent said she was from the Federal Government. She said that I was owed some $7000 in overcharged bank fees. I strung her along and gave her false details and said that I would like to be paid by cheque. She then said I would have to call her supervisors, Mrs Maria Edwards or Mrs Angelina Cooper on (02) 4407 0078. Needless to say I didn't bother to call as it was such an obvious scam.

yes, same here. same amount, same indian accent, request for bank details to deposit amount. reported it to scamwatch.

I too got a call from this number saying they were a government agency and that they owed me $7589 and wanted to reimbursed me. Requested I ring back to confirm my ref. number and wanted to know who I bank wit so they could send the a check for the amount. I rang back requested to speak with Anngelina Cooper or Eric Rwitson both had the same Indian accent. Said they were closing for the day and couldn't access my file.......What a scam! and I was so sucked I.......

I got a call from a random number in vic (03) 9754263 (sorry missed a number when they called) and they said I had $7000 of money to be refunded back to me and asked for my bankdetails and knew my address&name. They said this was not a scam and told me to call (02) 4407 0078. When I called the number, the man said 'Thanks for calling the reclaim department how can I help you?', when I asked if this was an ATO department, they hung up. I believe this is a scam, too good to be true.
