Overseas scammers using a spoofed national number. Pretending to be from the "Do Not Call" register, demanding credit card info. Diverted to the scammer answering machine, I hope they enjoyed the chat with it.

get a call guardian phone
scammers don't go through the process of saying their name or leaving a message

Same as above - no one speaking, then hung up

When i answered my phone there was no one speaking on the other end. I find it intrusive of people calling then no answering, just wish i could block all these annoying calls..
