10 phone calls in the past 2 weeks. Supposedly Telstra letting me know that my computer has a serious problem sending bad emails in the background. Wanted me to go to command prompt and type in a command.

Just had a series of 4 calls from this number all started out with the guy swearing and yelling when my daughter said hello. Very disturbing. Can't they do something about these calls?

Rang yesterday with same story.If you hear from these people just hang up.

Just had the guy call me, same speil, internet issues and needed me to log on, so I asked for his Telstra ID and branch phone number. Silly part is with caller ID he came up as a Central coast phone number in NSW. When I hung up he rang me back and told me I was a cock sucker and hung up again. I then rang Telstra and gave them the number (surely they could disconnect the line number) and raised a complaint, they said they would investigate it. Wtf!

Definitely a suspect number, I have got two calls now at 8PM in the evening, Indian sounding guy asking me about my internet. He got really annoyed when I told him i don't have any internet.

Yes same here. This is the third call in as many days. I have had so many of these calls that I now keep a whistle next to my phone. They got one hell of a loud whistle tonight when they called. I kept her on the line playing along and when she told me to sit in front of my computer I kindly blew it down the line.

Just had a woman ring here twice in 20 minutes. Same speil = "I am from Telstra, and there is a problem with the internet - need to spe4ak with the internet owner". When I asked what the problems were, she said it was streaming bad packets. I told her that I did not believe her, and she hung up (saves me doing it)

Had a phone from this guy with indian accent who said my computer was causing problems. He asked me turn on my computer and press the windows key+R shortcut to bring up the RUN window. I told him this was not working so he directed me to the internet browser and laboriously asked me to type in the Teamviewer web address which i did. Then asked me to download the teamview program which i did. Then after some extensive mis information on my part regarding the connection ID i let on that this was an Linux machine which seemed to annoy him even more than the lack of connection and he hung up.

Yet again another call. Unbelievable the gaul of these crooks. They say they are from Telstra technical department and they have to fix me computer. We just had our computer fixed from the last time he got access when a friend was house sitting and innocently handed over access. He should be ashamed of himself for what he does to honest hard-working families.

Same here...a guy...VERY aggressive when I resisted his spiel! Ended up in a shouting match...me shouting 'What-EVER!!' down the phone. Upsetting...

Got a call from this guy (Indian accent, call centre noise in background, or maybe just kids) yesterday, he said the same that he was from Telstra, and that I will lose my internet connection. We know about him, why doesn't Telstra or the police close him down?????

Just took a call from this number, claiming that the internet has a serious problem. They say from tomorrow that my internet is going to close down for 3 months, if I don't fix it now. I also asked how many server providers will shut down and how do they know about this problem, she became quite obnoxious.

Just had the same. Asked why Telstra would be calling me out of the blue and she said that because if I didn't fix it my computer would stop working. Also woman with heavy Indian accent with call centre noise in background. Told her I would wait for paperwork from Telstra if problem were true and was reporting it as a scam, which I have.

Same as everyone else, asked me to sit infront of computer and follow his prompts. I didn't turn computer on but said yes, yes, done. Then half way through I asked a few simple questions like our ip Address and our account number. He got angry, I called him a lire and thief and hung up, he rang back directly to tell me how rude I was and that they will be disconnecting our internet! What a joke.

As with the others above, we have been receiving these scam calls for about a month - sometimes twice a day. We tried playing dumb only got them upset - they are very persistent. Will now just hang up when they call.

Same old, same old. Lady with Indian accent claiming to be from Telstra and wanting to fix a non existent internet problem.

Claims to be Technical Services Dept of Telstra. Calling re my computer - told them it wasn't Telstra and this was a scam call - Have I any proof woman asked? Don't need any to cut you off and hung up. The bastards tried to call me yesterday as well, just hung up on them. Might have been same Indian woman who called me some months ago threatening to cut off my internet, fine I said, go right ahead, my internet is still working despite this threat!
