Caller: Chinese scammers Chinese scam call "Press 1 if English speaking", or "Press 2 if Chinese national or Chinese student in Australia". Don't press anything, just hang up.

Caller: chinese scammer Chinese scam call (supposedly from Maitland, NSW, but probably spoofed). Scare tactics used to try to get you to "Press 1 if English speaking", or "Press 2 if Chinese national or Chinese student in Australia". Don't press anything, just hang up. According to ACMA, this is an extortion scam, targetting Chinese students in Australia, some of whom have been scared by threats of deportation and have losta lotta money. Police have caught and charged several of these scammers and they were chinese nationals operating from NSW. So don't press anything, just hang up.

Says the call was coming from Cessnock. Was an automated message talking about a "Emergency Epidemic Notice". Spam call
