Did not leave a message call back a few times I did not answer phone

This is some kind of SPAM call. If you answer, they hang up, If you call back you are disconnected. These types of services are usually trying to get the name of the person or company on the number so they can sell to another telemarketing service. The system is automatic so if you answer Good Morning Ross, they automatically record that. So just answer Hello and that's all they get and they can't use it.
If you have answered with a name or company, you will likely soon get a call from a Telemarketer saying 'Good Morning Ross' or whatever they recorded.
It's a way to personalise the call and delude you into thinking you know them, they know you, or they are a friend or colleague.
There are other callers though you need to watch out for - these are just trying to determine if someone is home at a residence or premises so they can rob it.

questionable number duaconnects as soon as you answer

i just got phone calls from this number, strange accent, barely spoke proper english, didn't let me talk, was trying sell some web services. i hung up, he called back, and he became angry, he accused me why i ddin't listen to him, and he mentioned GoDaddy, the web service company. i asked if he's from GoDaddy, he said no. then i said i got no business with you, he became rude and being unreasonable. then he hung up. BTW, i am in Auckland NZ.

Cold caller. Woman said it was an 'important call' for the business owner. When they said what it was about, I told them it was not an important call and hung up. They are offering Web site services. Same people who called me in October 2015, when I initially blocked them. Their number was disconnected for a little while but they are back to using it again.

Several seconds passed before a foreign voice spoke (offshore?). Asked how I was then said 'I presume I am speaking with the business owner' to which I replied that I was not a business. He paused, said 'Oh ... sorry' and hung up.

Rang business phone. When answered, they immediately hung up.

(02) 3456 7891 called me 3 times and as soon as i called it back less than 30 secs after it disconnected saying the number was disconnected...scam!!!!

When I answered after weeks of ignoring it as a number I didn't know or like the looks of, there was just silence for a while then I hung up. Called it back to be told the number was disconnected. CREEPY.

A caller by the name of James (strange accent), wanted to know about a site I had visited on the internet. I told him I was starting to record the conversation, and the call was ended abruptly.

Rang it back straight away and got an Optus message that the number was disconnected???

Called and then phone was disconnected. Tried to call back but unable to call back "please check the number".

Looked like a dodgy call based on the number (02) 3456 7891), they asked to speak to the business owner. I said "not gonna happen' and they asked if I'd heard of something that sounded like 'Dwipe' or 'Zwipe'? They were also really rude.

Had Telstra block it. They say its a dummy number.

I got this call this morning too from (02) 3456 7891, but said nothing and hang up. How could you have such a number anyway??
