Just looked up their ABN (iG8 that is) and the number on your bill is missing a "1". The actual ABN is 48 151 071 439. I rang the Telco Omsbudsman but they can't help as my beef with Telstra is resolved. I then reported iG8 to the ACCC. The address I got on hoovers.com (the website I get when I google ig8) was Unit 39 Waterloo, NSW. No street or anything.

Can anyone tell me how could we have charges of 13.20 and another 6.60 on 13/2 (from ig8p/l) on phn number with a sim card that is still in unopened courier bag in my husbands suitcase while working in wa. Data share sim pack from telstra. Also one supposed call was while it was in transit to my husband. Just now starting to try and get refund back.

Obviously frigging Telstra knows this mob is a scammer yet they insist that I pay the extra $6.60 for 3 months..NEVER Signed up to this a**hole mob and NEVER received 1 SMS or phone call, only contact I had was when I saw local Telstra Shop & he said send the STOP sms which I did.. grr Telstra is a crap company nowadays..

I have also just got a bill that included iG8 charge with Optus the charge was $6. Called Optus was told that iG8 send you an sms regarding horoscopes, online gaming etc but at the bottom of the message (should you actually read it and not ignore it as junk mail) there is amessage saying if you don't want anymore sms from them you have to opt out or they will continue sending and start charging you. Apparently the first one was free. I have now got a block on premium sms, Optus say there is nothing they can do, that they have no control over this??

I also have just got my Telstra bill with a $6.60 charge from 'IG8 pty ltd for third party purchases. Funny thing about my bill - it commences on the 20th each month and this charge is dated the 19th dec on my invoice, which if I had ever even heard of this company and had actually used their 'stuff', the charge should have been on my previous invoice. Anyway Telstra, what are you going to do about this fraudulent charge ?

It will be the actual IG8 Company being the rip off. Tissc Is the Company who once ran the Complaints for these. It Is now ACC or whatever they are called. Telstra Is a disgrace though for knowing this Is going on and allowing this Rip Off to continue. And of course now you cannot even speak to someone In the Country .. try the complaints dept as they were still on Australian shores. No Company who wants to send their support calls off shore should be allowed to operate here In most peoples opinions and for good reason.

I have just received my bill from Telstra with this charge of $6.60 for a 'purchase' from IG8. I have never had any contact with IG8 and so I assume it is a scam. I will be contacting Telstra.

also noticed a $6.60 charge on my telstra account from IG8 Pty Ltd for what I don't know. Will try the 1300 795 070 number and contact telstra as well. Had a similar charge several months ago and thought I had made a call outside my freebies. Not happy as it seems like a scam.

My recent phone phone bill shows a $6.60 charge for a purchase from a company called ig8 pty ltd. I have made no such purchases and will pay my bill less this amount. What a scandal - a national telecommunications company scamming it's customers! It must not happen. Telstra already has a problem with image and reputation and this will be another blot. Looks like we could do with a 'class action'

I also have had two of these charges from IG8 P/Ltd on my Telstra bill. I phoned Telstra and they were good. They reversed the charge, and asked me to telephone the provider to stop the charges. I tried the no. on my phone bill and just couldn't get through. It was like a dummy number. I have looked up the company on ASIC website and found they are registered in NSW (ABN is 48 151 071 439). I will now try the phone no listed on my text/charge from them and see if I get through. It was also $6.60 each time. What a scam- as I did not buy anything from them. My phone is too old anyway to operate these games.
