Caller: NSW Communications Group NSW Communication Group calling from Qld?? Same as above, very fishy. They have your business name & address, yet they want more details to see if "you're going to be affected". I said, you seem to have my details - you tell me. I asked them for their website address - "we don't have one" she said. Hang up on these scammers. Best tip to any of these calls is when they ask a question, say "I'm not here to answer questions, you tell me"

Caller: QLD Communication Group Ricky from QLD Communication group called about updating the fibre network in the area, had address of business and a time for next week. I clued on when he was asking for what brand we used, I asked why he needed that and he said it's because we need to know the brand for having the technical knowledge to fix it. Not really his responsibility to arrange that. Knew the IT manager's name.

Caller: Rita Called saying they were from the QLD Communication Group. Said there were NBN works happening next week and they needed to confirm details with us as we may be affected. Sounded like a call centre in the background. I said that they would need to speak to a Director so someone would call them back. Got a bit narky saying they didn't need to speak to a Director as it is just confirming information. I said I wouldn't know any information and they would need to speak to a Director. Then asked how I wouldn't know if our phone service has been playing up. I hung up.

A call from "NSW Communications Group" claiming to be working with NBN. Started asking about our company details, claiming it was a survey. Had the sounds of a call centre in the background and the caller was a lady with a non-Australian accent

Caller: BULLSH*T SCAMMER Random call claiming to be from NSW Communication Group or similar, even though calling from QLD and with that typical Malaysian accent as always trying, claiming they're doing work in our area and are checking if we've had any NBN interruptions. Just wanting to "confirm our details" which I went along with for a moment but then started probing me for our current service provider, number of phone lines & how many handsets, how many employees ... clearly leading into their sales pitch of contracts blah blah blah so I hung up. When you call the number back, a recorded message with a male Australian accent says due to a high number of calls, nobody is available to take your call but leave your details and someone will get back to you" however then it just hangs up. Definite scam for sure !

Second call from this mob [who again had faulty address info] trying to confirm details with leading questions on pretense of works to be done in the area later in the week that may affect phone/internet performance. Wants to know service provider, number of phone lines & employees and that will advise us if there will be a problem with the service. Reluctant to give their number to call should there be such a problem. Asked for their company name and phone number - is as listed here. Suss!

Caller: NSW Communication Group Same of other reports - kept asking for my internet provider - got quite rude when I said it was another provider and I do not need to give out that information. I questioned the QLD number for a NSW business. She got narky so I hung up. I did ring the number back and got a voicemail message.

NSW Communication Group saying that NBN work is going to be carried out and hopefully we will not be affected. Said, as their phone number was outgoing only, don't call them. Call our provider if any issues. They asked about business, internet and phone system.
