Just got a txt from the same number with a reference to a gumtree adv, asked me to reply using an email account. Sounded suspect to me.

This arsehole seems to be making quite a career out of this. eBay ad for caravan was far too good to be true! Told me via email that he was in England so his wife could have a liver transplant! I needed to pay some bogus freight company for the van then I get to look at it! Really mate!!

Received a txt from him today, asking to reply email only. Haha gonna get this sucker, thanks to this site yay.

Caravan scam again only this time he's uncle has died and he lives in Germany

2015 Jayco Silverliner 21.7ft Caravan for $21,500 wanting my email for more details and pics on ebay. Caravan has been removed from site and after doing some research, can't buy this used caravan for less than $50,000.

After reading through some comments on this site, I see that his wife is in England awaiting a liver transplant.

I too got a text message re a gumtree ad - asked for bank details - told him to pay thru pay pal. Last I heard from him

Pajero scam currently on eBay. Sounds too good to be true usually is. Wife is in England for liver transplant, needs to sell car quickly at half price. Why is it still for sale 2 weeks later at that price ?

Have the same message but whilst he has my email and phone number he is just about to get blocked
forwarding all details to scam sites

Received text claiming to be Wise Recruitment from this number and that they have downloaded my Seek resume and asked me to call a different number to speak to someone about recruitment.

Watch out Kathy Smith is alive and well. I got the New Zealand Oil story today. I jollied the little creep along. Deleted all my credit car details linked to PayPal. I did not click on the Western Union link to create the gateway to hack into my computer....hopefully!! 18 July 2017.

The ad disappeared and sent me a text message to respond with my email address for more photos I tried to ring the number but it is turned off
So he is st it again

Recent SMS from 0409 793 748 11th May 2017 regarding Gumtree sale and requesting a reply to email address for a David Green <dorom088 @ gmail.com> confirming if the product was still for sale. When I sent a response email confirming items were still on Gumtree this was the email, which immediately raised a number of red flags.

The red flags were.
(1) Buying it for my holiday, could not name items which is unsuitable for a holiday
(2) As an ex-marine engineer, the claim on no phone but email OK is unbelievable
(3) The roster of 5 days off and 25 days work is third world conditions
(4) The item cannot ne simply delivered but needs inspection & dismantling

After entering the text into GOOGLE SEARCH "New Zealand Oil and Gas (NZOG) and we are presently offshore in New Zealand Taranaki Basin on kapo project" This provided a number of Spam sites were flagged and made very interesting reading.

All readers please be CAREFUL in future, the money at risk is not full price of your vehicle, caravan or piano etc, but the $1,000 needed to be Urgently transferred via Western Union to pay the overseas collection transport firm, before the scammer can transfer the full amount plus carrier costs to you.
