Like everyone has mentioned these are scammers. Safe to block the number. One thing this scammer forgot to do was to change the mailbox message bank password. The number belongs to Optus Mobile. (Traced) Going to Enjoy getting them back!

Called saying they were from Neighbourhood Watch. Scam....

Male voice saying he was from "The Police Association" wanting to speak to the owner of the business. When asked what business he said the domain name you have registered. Explained there is no business attached to this now expired domain name. When asked what did he want, he said corporate sponsorship and proceeded to tell me not to bother as he was looking for bigger businesses.

Same here Police magazine calling me now after sending me an email wanting me to reply to the email.

Just received a phone call from Jake posting himself from pycp Vic police saying about street smart organisation. Couldn't give us an I.d number. Instead says central wide Australia. Scam artist. 0423 803 103

Annoying calls. This is a "custom publishing" agency that works for the police welfare foundation and other emergency services

Asked for business owner once confirmed immediately hung up

They call constant asking for donations for the police, fire, ambos and army but they all ring off the one number. They ask your buisness for package donations from $330 - $2300. As I've read and found its just another scam. And make it sound like it's real as it can be.

This number just called our home/office number and advised me he was from the Federal Police and asked to speak with the owner of the business. I asked which business was that? He gave the correct answer, but I was very suspicious. I then told him that he would need to speak with my husband (who's business it is) but he was not here. I told him to call back but he balked at that and wasn't keen about it, so I asked for his phone number - he immediately hung up.

Dear friends, please visit www.cwaustral.com.au and look at the clients and publications. Please feel free to call these clients directly and they will verify the programs and that Countrywide is the official publication company. Salespeople who say they are from so and so can leave a wrong impression, but they call ON BEHALF OF... please check it out.

I've just had someone on the phone claiming to be acting on behalf of the police looking for sponsors to a drug and alcohol education program for kids for August. Sent them on and then called the police to confirm it is a SCAM! They sounded very unprofessional and said they were calling businesses in the local area. The number which came up on my phone was 0402 958 808.

Got a call saying they were from Victoria Police, and he wished to speak to "the owner". I asked "The owner of what??" He said Herbalife Australia Pty Ltd. I explained hat I was a consultant, not head office, and he hung up. Tried to call back and it went straight to a message service. I have better things to do with my time than deal with morons like this!!

phoned asking for business owner advised was not here and proceeded to say from federal police. obviously not as Feds don't call off a mobile number. ahaha
