yet if they were legitimate, why don't they leave a voicemail message - I never reply to a number that I don't know and will only call back if a voicemail message is left

They may well be valid marketing calls but the volume constitutes spam as do their constant emails trying to sell you a change to your plan. I’ve been getting repeated calls from them which I just don’t answer now. Makes me wonder if their marketing tactics actually give them any return.

It is regards to Coles Mastercard with offers. There is slight delay when you answer. They explain who they are and before proceeding they do security check. Coles Mastercard is now managed by National Australia Bank.

Received 2 calls in 6 days. I did not answer unrecognised number and they left no voicemail.
Apparently a genuine marketing offer for NAB's various low/no interest offers on Coles Mastercard account. NAB seem to be as bad as Citibank were at giving every appearance of being a scam. At least neither is as greedy as GEC were before them.
I have accepted 2 similar good Coles offers before and they have gone smoothly. But I am uneasy about any transactions by phone that I did not initiate. They also make offers via email or SMS. Best is to just check your account online from time to time for any offers.

I don't trust the number and would never speak with Cold Callers about my finances.

This is not the way to get my business!

Not exactly right. Coles Mastercard was managed by Citibank and has now gone over to NAB. So its quite valid for the person to say they are calling from NAB on behalf of Coles Mastercard....its not exactly uncommon these days...

Call centre operator called me and asked me twice to look at my phone screen to confirm they were calling from NSW .... and that it was about NAB taking over Coles Mastercard.
Wanted to lower part of my debt's % rate.
The line was terrible and when I told her I's already done it by me calling Coles she tried to tell me I'd done it incorrectly LOL and I was going to loose all my money.....
100% a scammer
